Pets can regulate their own body temperature, so why do they need to wear clothes?

Many people believe that since pets are naturally capable of regulating their body temperature, putting clothes on them would interfere with their physiological mechanisms. In reality, this is only true for healthy, adult medium-to-large dogs living in comfortable environments.

A pet’s ability to regulate its body temperature is limited: when the temperature drops below 5°C, short-haired and small dogs struggle to keep up, making them highly susceptible to hypothermia. In windy, rainy, or snowy weather, the damp and cold environment accelerates heat loss, making it difficult even for long-haired dogs to maintain their body temperature with their fur alone. In summer, strong UV rays can easily cause sunburn on pets’ skin, which lacks sufficient protection. In these situations, outdoor clothing is needed to provide additional protection, allowing their body temperature regulation system to function normally rather than being disrupted.

PetXiaoTan’s outdoor clothing for dogs helps protect them from the harm of extreme environments without interfering with their natural regulation, ensuring they stay comfortable in all weather conditions.
